October 2010 Saturday Morning

After the audio started working, we are enjoying Conference. We are sad to miss the announcement of the new temples! ( Which are: Indianapolis, Indiana, Urdaneta (Philippines), Lisbon, Hartford (Connecticut), and Tijuana!

Kids! Teach them!

Gospel teaching- an attitude to inspire
Read scriptures daily
Inspiring teachers teach gospel because knew the prophets
(screaming child.....)
Read for Spirit
Need to pray to know and meet needs of students in class
Keep commandments
Follow promptings from Spirit
Teachers have a sacred trust

Happiness, true happiness comes from making good choices
Consecrate is to set apart something - our lives! To Heavenly Father

A pure life - repent and be worthy- putting off natural man
A life of labor- all honest work is the work of God- need to do constant labor, (and leisure! Like Music art, entertainment- hard work to find wholesome leisure)
Caring for body for it is a temple- present your bodies holy acceptable before God
Servant not greater than Lord (Pres. Monson) simple acts confirm divine- parents care and nurture their children
Integrity - don't be a hypocrite

Ideal conditions for growing
Turbulence is change of climate - should reduce speed
Focus on essentials when things are hard
Stress comes- we try to hurry through in spite of obstacles
Every virtue can become a vise
Forgo good things to develop things that are better or best (Elder Oaks)
Ballpoint pens don't work in space so spend millions on doing that can write in space meanwhile, the astronauts use pencil
Master the fundamentals!!!!
Still small voice gets lost in delusion of information
Be diligent in doing the things of the Lord

Relationship with God - good then feel better improve relationship by learning of him and being like Jesus - need quiet time alone with Him

Relationship with families - build by dinner , FHE live spelled t-i-m-e.

Relationship with fellowmen - look for troubled

Relationship with ourselves! Learn to see yourself how God sees you!
